SymTerra bioactive reptile substrates are hand mixed with care to provide your reptiles and plants with a rich substrate layer that mimics their natural biome. SymTerra comes in two distinct blends, desert and forest, each designed specifically to manage a balance of moisture retention and drainage in your preferred environment. Both substrates contain a proprietary blend of minerals and reptile safe fertilizer to boost plant growth, and may contain beneficial fauna that will help maintain a healthy environment for your reptilian friends. Our substrates are recommended for use with a drainage layer.

Our desert substrate blend contains a mix of soil, sand, coir, and wood chips. This mix is great for arid and semi-arid species such as bearded dragons, fat tail geckos, sand boas, uromastix, aloe, cacti, and many other arid and semi-arid species.

Our forest substrate blend contains a mix of soil, moss, and wood chips. This mix is recommended for tropical and semi-tropical  species such as ball pythons, crested geckos, box turtles, corn snakes, pothos, monstera, philodendron, and other tropical and semi-tropical species.

Has lasted my baby bearded dragon over 20 days now; these are his staple, supplemented with other insects and veggies. He has been growing an inch a week and gaining 6-10 grams a week.
He eats these things like dragon popcorn. Happily snaps them up. Fully recommended.

Great feeder insect for the price. About 500 for ~20 including shipping, feeds our juvenile bearded dragon for a a few weeks mixing it up with other feeders. Hint: Order the sifter and scooper accessory with your *first* order, it really helps out a lot.

Just got my super fast 1st shipment of 500 large BSFL & I couldn't be more pleased. They were fat & active which had my veiled chameleon & bearded dragon gobbling them up! There were no dead ones that I saw & the price is a great deal. These were WAY better than I've gotten from other sellers by a long shot. You just have to see them to appreciate what you're getting. I'm gonna see how long these last & then get a regular delivery set up. So glad I happened to hear about this company. I'll be spreading the word!

Ive been ordering from Symton for months now, with an order every week to every 2 weeks. Its heating up now and making it harder to ship these feeders out. I received my order of 1200 bsfl, and unfortunately they were all dead from the heat. I contacted Symton via email, and they immediately shipped out another same day. I got my order fast as always and they were alive. The fact that a company cares about their customers like this goes a long way for me. It wasnt their fault, (temps are different throughout the country) I know this, i didnt gripe, or complain. All i did was let them know, they didnt require me to send them pictures or any questions. They just shipped out another order for me. These guys are great, and their quality of BSFL is spot on. Its my beardie's main staple (with a variety of supers and hornworms) with the exception since he gets tired of them quickly lol. But i know their the best feeder for him so ol' Yondu will have to get over it.
