While the USPS decided to give my first shipment a tour of the US during the Polar Vortex that was consuming the East, Symton sent a replacement shipment that arrived before the touring shipment and in perfect condition. I received the touring shipment days later with frozen dead larvae. Yeah! Symton for making my dragon very happy. GREAT SERVICE! Thanks
Unfortunately most of the bsfl in my shipment were dead. I forgot to purchase a heat pack with my order and didn't realize my mistake until after it had shipped. By the following morning the few bsfl that had survived through shipping were all dead.
I also should have requested medium bsfl instead of small ones. They were much smaller than I thought they would be.
I'm a bit of a scatterbrain due to mild Parkinsons, so it was my goof up.
Anyway, I'll order another shipment when I'm not flat broke.
Heat packs were cold by the time I received the package, which was probably due to delivery time being longer than expected. The cold and dried food were probably the main factors of half of the silkworms being dead. I am not surprised/upset though; I knew when I ordered live animals from Texas to NC during some winter weather that this might be the case.
Frass was moist and loaded with larvae. May be good for some but I was expecting clean sifted frass. Quality frass otherwise. I was not planning on leaving a review but they keep emailing me for one.
Larvae arrived healthy. Have been growing steadily and eating way more than I ever thought. They could very happy with purchase would order again.
My only complaints are that the directions were very sparse, and that only one side comes with a cable opening.
