Canned Black Soldier Fly Larvae

  • $2.00 $3.00
TFW you find out you are short on live feeder insects, and your next shipment is a few days away.... HAVE NO FEAR! CANNED INSECTS ARE HERE!

For the doomsday prepper in all of us.

Our freshly-preserved black soldier fly larvae are exactly the same as the live black soldier fly larvae in terms of nutritional value and deliciousness. Black soldier fly larvae have a calcium to phosphorus ratio of over 3:1, which effectively improves nutrient absorption in your pet. BSFL are also a great natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are crucial to your pet's overall health. The calcium content in black soldier fly larvae is 80 times higher than that found in mealworms, making these insects an excellent staple feeder option for pets needing additional calcium in their diet.

Cans have a shelf life of up to three years unopened and come with a plastic lid for resealing after the pop-top has been opened. Cans should be stored in the fridge and used within one week after opening.
Net Weight: 35 grams
Each can contains: ~350 large-sized larvae

Great stuff, great company.

Love the company! Their stuff is high quality! Just dumped a bunch of BSFL in a bin with compost and it gets turned into dirt! The cans are nice for shelf stable/portable food for our animals.

Hedgehog loves it!

I recently adopted a 1.5yr old hedgehog but the arctic cold front made it difficult to order live insects so I opted for these canned ones. There was a wide variety of sizes (1-3cm) so I fed my hedgehog the small ones and gave the extra large ones to my coworker who as a bearded dragon.

Pickles Loves the Larvae! But too Sleepy to Write

Our AP Hedgehog was too tired from his run this morning so I’m writing for him. He loves the Symton Black Soldier Fly Larvae. I hide some in a dish under rocks or pom poms every night and he hunts and inhales about a dozen of the large size.

They are a really good price, we always get fast, friendly service, and with a few drops of water or some moistened spinach leaves, the small container lasts us about 2 weeks. Pickles inhales them as they are a staple of a Hedgehog’s diet. He eats the BSF larvae and a tablespoon of dry, high quality chicken kibble each night and seems to be very healthy. Guess I’d be too if I ran a couple hours every night and ate such good quality larvae… but I usually draw a line at food that wiggles. Symton is THE source- look no further, take it from my prickly pal Pickles

It smells better than mealworms

I have a 14 year old starling that I regularly buy insects for. Crickets and mealworms mostly. I decided to try the Black Soldier Fly Larvae and found that it was quite pleasant to use. Starlings require a lot of animal protein, so I'm happy to know that the Fly Larvae are packed with it. I plan to buy more. They don't stink the way canned mealworms do. I'm glad I found the Symton website.

Great, consistent product

We use the canned BSFL during the really hot or really cold months and our bearded dragon doesn’t seem to mind at all. Great option!
